Section 5 of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 (2 U.S.C. 1604) is further amended in subsection (b) by inserting the following new subparagraph:

  1. ` for each specific issue listed pursuant to subparagraph (A), a list identifying each covered executive branch official and each Member of Congress (or the Member's name when the lobbyist meets with staff) with whom a lobbyist employed by the registrant engaged in a lobbying contact with respect to that issue;'.

  • This issue is, to my mind, the most important. I want to know, without doubt, who is buying and trying to buy my country through those in Washington.

    In fact, I'd like to know if our officials own stock in their companies, have worked for or plan to work for the companies, and would like to see the conflict of interest disqualify folks from positions in Washington. Imagine a vice president working without an association with big oil. We may not have gone to war.
